Hi HN, creator here. This is a speed reading tool for longform articles, with speed control. I believe the conversational style UI, can make text reading better and you can come back to the later to read from where you left, it will automatically seek to that position. It also gives you exact time it will take you to read through whole article along with % of article you have read.I am also experimenting with integrating various AI, APIs like text summarization, automatic tagging etc. to help user read in a better way.Would love to hear more feedback.
Users commented on a speed reading tool for longform articles, noting its teleprompter-like feature and engaging presentation of reading material. Some questioned its necessity and superiority over traditional reading, while others criticized the focus on measurable reading speed and the user interface that discourages adding articles to a reading list. The concept of fighting reading addiction with another form of addiction was also mentioned, along with references to tsundoku and the anti-library phenomenon.
Users criticized the product for being unclear about its benefits for reading, lacking explanations, and questioning the need for measurable reading, especially for long-form content. Concerns were raised about the approach to addiction, the claustrophobic experience, lack of control and context, and a user interface that makes users feel like failures.
